This Ministry is committed to developing the fisheries and water sectors in a sustainable manner that is responsive to current and future quality of life and the economic development needs of present and future generations of Gambians.

This Ministry will spare no effort in order to attain the development objectives set by Government for these two sectors. Government will not relent in its efforts to implement fisheries, water and climate related development projects and programmes aimed at increasing the contribution of these sectors to increased accelerated access to clean drinking water for all, enhanced national food security through improved agricultural production and sustainable fish production, employment generation and poverty reduction.
